Whenever an address is uploaded into your ElasticRoute for the creation of a stop, and its corresponding latitude and latitude are absent, ElasticRoute will try to geocode and convert the address into its corresponding latitude and longitude.
The geocoding process will try to narrow its search in the following order: Country > City > Postal Code > Street Name > House Name.
To improve the accuracy of the geocoding process, it is recommended to provide the full address of the stop, and omit all the unnecessary information.
For example:
3 Temasek Blvd, Singapore 038983
If you happen to have a common address text field to be added to all your addresses, you may navigate to Settings > General Settings > Geocoding and enter the text to be appended for the geocoding process, thus allowing you to omit that text during the import of CSV.
An example is provided below to demonstrate the use of the Add Field feature for the City name.

- Geocoding is a “guessing" algorithm, and can fail.
