The Vehicle Type feature can be used for special requirements of your deliveries. You may assign the same Vehicle Type tag to both the vehicles and stops. During planning, the stops would be assigned to the tagged vehicle.
Example usage:
If you happen to be delivering cold items, e.g. ice cream, and only vehicles equipped with a fridge can perform the delivery, you may tag both the stops and vehicles with the Fridge vehicle tag, and the stop would be assigned to the tagged vehicle accordingly.
How To Set Up Vehicle Type
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Vehicle Type.
Step 2: Click Add Vehicle Type.
Step 3: Enter the data, e.g. Fridge.
Step 4: Click Save.
How To Assign Vehicle Type To Your Vehicle
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Click on Add Vehicle or the Edit icon.
Step 2: Select the required “Vehicle Type” for that vehicle, e.g. Fridge.
Step 3: Click Save. Note that Ice-Cream Van has a Fridge under the “Types” column.
How To Assign Vehicle Type To Your Stops

Whenever a stop is created, you may select the Fridge vehicle type.
Import Of CSV File
If you happen to have a CSV to import for creation of stops. You may include a “Vehicle Type” column, and specify Fridge under it.

Upon clicking the Plan and Optimize button, the stops tagged with the Fridge Vehicle Type will only be assigned to vehicles with the Fridge tag.
